As we approach the end of August, we are nearing the end of the self- imposed time frame for District 6760 to meet the $65,000 challenge from the Gates Foundation in our continuing effort to eradicate polio in the world. Early in September I will report the total donated amount. Several clubs have reported their amount and I am confident that the total will exceed our challenge goal. Remember to indicate PolioPlus on any amounts given.

We, in district 6760, must continue our support of the Books From Birth program to reach the children of Tennessee with free books so that we might impact their desire to read and prepare themselves for learning opportunities in the future. Remember, literate children become literate adults.
